PodCrisp respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998, we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement on the Service.

If you believe that content on PodCrisp infringes your copyright, please provide a written notice containing the following information:

Required Information for DMCA Notice:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list of such works
  2. Identification of the infringing material on our Service (e.g., the summary URL) and its location
  3. Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address
  4. A statement of good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of your authorized agent)

2. Submitting Your DMCA Notice

Send your DMCA notice to our designated Copyright Agent:

3. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe your content was mistakenly removed or disabled, you may submit a counter-notice containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number
  5. Consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or any judicial district where PodCrisp may be found)

4. Repeat Infringer Policy (DMCA §512(i))

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. §512(i)(1)(A), PodCrisp maintains and reasonably implements a policy that terminates the accounts of users who are repeat infringers:

  1. First substantively compliant notice: targeted summary removed within 24 hours; user warned; source RSS URL added to our internal opt-out blocklist so the same content cannot be re-submitted by any account.
  2. Second notice (same user): account suspended pending review; user may file a counter-notice under §512(g).
  3. Third notice or a pattern of bad-faith submissions: account permanently terminated; user added to internal banned-user list; no refund of unused subscription credits.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our discretion in appropriate circumstances without prior notice when there is clear evidence of repeat infringement.

PodCrisp generates AI-powered summaries that create new, transformative content from podcasts. Summary pages typically include:

6. For Podcast Owners — How to Opt Out

If you are a podcast creator or rights holder, you have four ways to opt out:

  1. Email: Send your RSS URL to dmca@podcrisp.com with subject “Opt-Out Request” — we add it to our internal blocklist within 24 hours.
  2. itunes:block tag: Add <itunes:block>yes</itunes:block> at the channel level of your RSS feed; our crawler will detect this and stop processing automatically.
  3. robots.txt: Add User-agent: PodCrisp Disallow: / to your podcast host’s robots.txt; our crawler will respect this within 24 hours of cache refresh.
  4. DMCA notice: For specific episodes already summarized, submit a DMCA notice per section 1 above; we remove within 24 hours.
